Mindful Mountaineers Month

The WVU Libraries embarked on a month-long journey in November 2016. Our goal? To help students, faculty, and staff discover a contemplative practice meaningful to them through a variety of well-planned activities. We worked with a number of campus groups and individuals to bring 30 days of connection, awareness, and reflection to WVU. We meditated, prayed, did yoga, discussed ideas, and enjoyed stillness. We had an opportunity to reflect upon and express thanks for all of the people, places, ideas, and experiences in our lives. It is our hope that the lessons learned in November will transcend the month to create space for discussion and reflection on the many positive and exciting changes our community is undertaking, along with the many existing features that make WVU, Morgantown, West Virginia, and our country special.
